Natural coconut apricot wax infused with the extract of roughly 30,000 centifolia and damascena roses, housed within an incredibly special porcelain teacup handcrafted by the family-owned Japanese ceramic house Arita, in existence since the 17th century. Per the traditional ‘suisho bori’ method, the holes in the cup are individually hard carved and filled with a crystal clear clay before being fired in a proprietary kiln and hand painted with traditional seigaiha (“blue sea and waves”) pattern. When lit, the cup’s unique design gives way to a dazzling performance of candle light. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and filled in Barratt Riley’s Sunset Boulevard atelier.
